HANDS OFF DINNERS

How We Edit

Dana Reyes directs Hands-Off Dinners. Every page should respect the promise of less active work and fewer unnecessary dishes.

Assignments

A method belongs when it meaningfully reduces hands-on effort or cleanup. Articles disclose prep and do not call a multi-pan method one pan.

Method standards

Amounts, vessel size, placement, temperature, timing, and cues must agree. Crowding, capacity, stirring, and rotations matter. Alternatives explain effects on texture, time, or dishes.

Evidence and independence

Safety statements use authoritative material. Sources receive credit. Fabricated experience, copied recipes, invented qualifications, and hidden payments are prohibited. Dana reviews sequence, labor, consistency, safety, and promises. Advertisers cannot dictate results or corrections.

Appliance variation

Editors check that a method does not hide appliance-specific assumptions. Capacity, preheating, hot spots, rack clearance, safe fill lines, and manufacturer programs can change results. A page may offer adjustment logic, but it should never tell readers to defeat a safety interlock or ignore the manual. Product claims are attributed when they originate with a manufacturer.
